Tigh Na Rois Visitor Centre
Along with the walls of an old Mill, the RoMHC bought this cottage and the adjacent wall of a listed Mill, to allow them to move from a portacabin on the other side of the village.
The cottage had been extended and let out. The group wanted to extend the property in a sympathetic manner to provide both a small museum and office space for research and development of the heritage of the Ross.
The museum is in the stone cottage, stripped back to the stone walls and floor. A new timber clad extension was added to extend the office area, to minimise its impact on its surroundings. It is hoped eventually to develop the Mill as a museum.
